Right now in the front yard gardens, the Princess Victoria Louise poppies are in full bloom. It's a magical, if fleeting, time. Take a stroll down our street and you can't miss them; they're putting on quite a show.

Confession: I'm still thinking about Mother's Day weekend, ya'll. And when I do, my little flower lady heart fills with gratitude. It's an incredible thing, helping to honor the role of motherhood in your lives. I just wanted to say *thank you* for letting me be a part of your special day, before too much time has passed.

I'm more than a little hellebore obsessed. They are the earliest blooms in my garden, often smiling through drifts of snow. What a welcome sight in the dark days of February and March! And they just keep blooming, well into June.

My mom. I call her Marmie Dearest and if you know the reference, you'll know why. She's strong. Graceful. Full of ingenuity. She holds an unwaveringly deep love for her family. She poured into us kids something fierce. And believe me, it wasn't always an easy road. I am grateful for her, today and every day.

Narcissus canaliculatus, the sweetest little daffy with a yellow button center. She dates back to 1915 and you know I love a dreamy vintage bloom. You'll find her and other heirloom daffodils in the flower gatherings leaving the farm this spring but here's the catch:
